The Department of Child Health Nursing offers courses related to child health based on the curriculum of the Indian Nursing Council .The department provides student-centered teaching and learning in conducive environment that help the students to gain specialized nursing knowledge and skills in caring for newborns, infants, children, adolescents and young adults. The department actively participates in training the students to focus on well-child care and the prevention and management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions in variety of settings. A well established preclinical laboratory equipped with models, mannequins, instruments, and audio-visual aids facilitate teaching-learning process and enable our students to gain confidence and proficiency in specialized procedures

Al Shifa College of Nursing provides post graduation in Child Health Nursing which prepares the students to develop comprehensive understanding and expertise in the field of Pediatric Nursing to function as a Neonatal and Pediatric Nurse Specialist. It also enable students to function as an effective leader, educator, manager, role model and researcher in the field of Pediatric Nursing.
